πŸ“ Locations, Location Groups & Sub Groups

This section explains how to manage and structure your locations in Storecall. Locations form the foundation for audit and log-type submissions, allowing your organization to track activity across operational areas.

🧠 What is a Location?

In Storecall, a location isn't limited to a store. It can represent a branch, site, area, or any operational unit you want to track. You perform audits and logs against locations β€” unlike approvals, which are not tied to locations.

Each location has:

  • Name – The name of the site, store, or area.

  • Location Group – Used to cluster locations into broader structures like regions.

  • Sub Group (optional) – A secondary way to categorize locations (e.g. districts within a region).

  • Email (optional) – Used to notify the location when a submission is made (see Template Designer).

  • Manager (optional) – Assign one of your users as the location's manager. This is useful for tracking who was in charge at the time of submissions.

πŸ›  Creating or Editing a Location

You can access locations by navigating to:

Locations β†’ View Locations

From there you can:

πŸ—‚ Location Groups & Sub Groups

Location Groups and Sub Groups help organize your locations into structured hierarchies.

Example: Group: Western Cape β†’ Sub Group: Cape Town North

To manage groups:

You cannot delete a group or sub group if it’s currently linked to a location.

πŸ”„ Real-time Location Group Management

When creating or editing a location, you can:

  • Add new groups/sub groups instantly

  • Edit existing ones without leaving the screen

This helps streamline the setup and reduces friction during onboarding or restructuring.

By organizing your operational units using locations, location groups, and sub groups, Storecall gives you a powerful way to map out your business structure and simplify your reporting, scheduling, and auditing workflows.
